So do I, I think what Gaz is trying to say is that 2 tone ferrous is kinder on the ears and doesn't involve you having to learn all the tones, but as I said I have a farthing that comes in at 21 when laid on mineralised ground and so would give a low tone. Swings and roundabouts because I may be missing targets because they are close to iron as Gaz has said.

...thanks for the welcome guys.

All valid and great comments again.

There is no perfect system. All you can do is try to minimise the shortcomings.

I personally think I would miss alot more targets in Conduct and Multi tones. With two tones, you really can tune into the high tone and pick out the smallest of targets.

...try it on the 'sweet spot' of that beach first mate.....not the junky dry sand.

You know the sweet spot???.......the area between high and low tide where everyone swims.
