So, we had permission to detect on a little bit of farm land close to a Roman settlement near Swindon.
Found this hammered, an awesome little brooch with a face (My first bit of Roman, if it is) and a few other junky items, including this strange belt clip or button thingy mabobber with the remains of a shiny gold colored coating.

Super little celtic brooch Simon see ( Ancient brooches and and other Artefacts) by Richard Hattatt, page 186. no. 1656. late celtic sundry plate brooch, I found one but had no face on it, well done again.
