Title: Hallmarks Post by: TheLoveDoc on February 26, 2014, 01:55:58 PM Hi all , had a great day out with Ace monday just gone and I found this old spoon with some hallmarks. I have tried finding similar hallmarks online but ive had no luck yet and its making my eyes go funny now..... Is there anyone out there who can help please ? I cant tell if its silver or silver plate and im not sure if the B is actually a B or a crown :-\ Any help at all is always appreciated :)

I am sure someone with more knowledge than I will able to confirm or provide more info ;)

Thanks for that, from there I found this " The firm entered their mark 'BHA' contained within an oblong punch, with the London Assay Office, on the 14th March 1888, and on the 27th September 1900." March 14th is my birthday lol...and 1888 Jack the Ripper was being very naughty in the East End of London. There was a picture of the same hallmarks too so thanks again ;)
