I wouldn't know where to start to id this one, I found it about a hour ago on a Roman site Undecided If anyone could help out that would be great.

its known as a Posthumous "hand of god" coin and is of Constantine I, Obv: - DIVCONSTANTINVSPTAVGG - Veiled head right.
Rev: No legend Exe:  - Constantine riding quadriga right, Hand of God above.  issued after his death.  Grin

Yes it is more of a unusual type but doing a little research there's plenty about  Cheesy Its anther one we have learnt, I also had another early brooch 10m from the last, first hole but damaged Undecided I went to the farm to sale my old machine to a young lady who has always been interested in detecting, most of the time she's on the tractor and calls us the seagulls following her around Grin she should do well as she has access to huge amounts of land being amongst trade  Cheesy

Pity Romana got there with the id first Cheesy

I find coins like this tend to come in batches - when I was first collecting there were loads about - seemed almost as common as the Gloria Exercitas (two soldiers) type - then you don't see so many around, then there's lots again - I'm not even sure if I have one at the moment (and I'm a bit too far from my collection to go and check) Smiley

I agree coins do seem to come it batches, I haven't seen any Bristols for ages? I know what going to happen Christmas will come along with a load of Bristols  Grin
