Hi Could anyone give me an Id on this hammered please, Its around the size of a half groat

Nice find Rob,I'll have a guess at Edward 1st,in the lower right quater of the reverse is the 3rd pellet missing or just worn ?,i'm thinking it's a penny ?,better wait and see what Peter says. :)

That is a bit wrecked Rob, but they all count. I think it's probably an Edward I penny, and looks like may be Canterbury mint (the last letter of the mint looks more like an R than an N).
