hope it proves productive for ya,sorry t o hijack the thread a little , but ive also got a spot like that, well its about 10 acres of common land that sits on a crossroads in the middle of a very old village,it is a little wet and grass gets cut at silage time,,now local legend says that its the site of a civil war encampment, and most of the old houses in the village have bars in the windows they say to deter looting during the civil war ??,,i havent been on this site yet but do have permission ,,now the posistion of the land should warrant some decent finds ,,dont know if theres any truth to the civil war camp theory but i aim to find out asap.
