Out today 1st signal i had dug down part of an axe blade i was chuffed i thought there may be another part of the axe there walked approx 12 foot and found the other part further down the field these other 2 pieces worked the field up and down all day no more but the farmer said hes ploughing it in the week so im hoping to have the rest then got to go to mark on fom just wanted to know any idea what type and date thanks a lot

Great result Steve - as said earlier they are definately early flat axes and it wouldn't suprise me if a few more turn up. Far too valuable for a casual loss of three of them in the same field at the time. I smell a Bronze Axe Head hoard around the corner for you.

Very nice Steve. Defo Bronze Age flat Axe Variants. As Neil said there could be more  so get back fella and don,t forget to record the findspot with your FLO.
