It looks like a repeated pattern to me......I was hoping for a code though I was ready to get my cipher books out lol. i thought it had a roman look to it, but then though no can't be, lol i gave it a scrape, don't look brass, but Copper alloy, now then, this is the first time on this field, i have found a couple of Roman Grotts a couple of fields in front of this one, owned by a different farmer, i should get back there next week then sometime realy after he's finnished lifting the spuds this week, he'll be ploughing it all soon after that, should get a couple of visits in realy, Thanks again all Best wishes Alan Title: Re: one for the Doc, code???
