''On it like Sonic''

« on: January 27, 2013, 04:24:32 PM »

Well what a blustery day. i managed to get out for a few hours today and i can say two of them hours was spent retrieving girl guide badges!!

I noticed that the farmer had flattened an overgrown area of the field to dig out some drainage for the aftermath of all that snow, and in the middle was the stump of a tree that must be at least 300 years old so i thought id go and have a butchers. Within minutes me tector was sounding off and up came a nice enamel girl guide badge that was the beginning of 25 badges and two hours later, there must have been an annual camp held there in the past years, some of the badges were also still fixed to a remenant of an old sash.

I managed 3 old coins, badly worn aswell and a toy lead plane.

My topic title was in three of the badges it means:

"Invictae fidelitatis praemium", The Reward of Invincible Loyalty

Wow youve been busy.  a nice selection of finds Nick.  Wonder what Enid Bullock is doing now?
All the badges would look great in a frame of some sort.
Well done again
