Hi all, mike here ,getting back into it after years away, and new to this site , brill site ,i did ask on the beach detecting forum so i thought i better try here as well , im looking for recommendations on machines that will do well on DEEP pasture with a fair amount of ferrous that will also be good on the wet sand , supposed roman and celtic settlements on the site, got a goldquest ss v2 for the beach and was looking for some pointers on a machine that will do the wet sand deep for when the mrs comes with me and also good on the above land sites for when i do them , am i asking a bit much for one machine to do well ?  cheers mike.

explorer , etrac , sovereign any of these will do the job , the sov is said to be the best beach machine of all , after market coils like the sef or ultimate will give even better performance  Smiley Smiley

Mike I think your loosing your previous posts Huh You've asked this question before which has had numerous good replies.
For inland then the world is your oyster as far as choice goes but as soon as you include the words "wet beach" then for serious hunting you choice suddenly shrinks to just a handful of machines.
The accepted good beach and pasture machines would be;
Minelab.........Sovereign, Explorer, Excalibur
Whites...........DFX, V3
