A quiet day at home today listening to Cardiff City fail to turn up once again!

My Detecting Arsenal is up for a cleaning session, so I thought I would post a quick photo of them.

The recently aquired Whites Beachmaster PI from a fellow DW member. I have only used it the once so far and it certainly goes deep on both wet and dry sand.

My every day machine that is a Minelab Explorer II. Bought second hand for £300 - its been worth every penny and has delivered the vast majority of my "decent" finds.

Minelab X-Terra30 Bought new £350 - a great entry level machine. Also good on the dry sand. First beach 22ct gold ring came with this.

Minelab Muskateer bought second hand for £130. This machine has provided me the most fun in the field and when I use it, I always remember the early days and shenanigans with Johnny and Mark! Had my first hammered coins with this.

Anyone else want to share their machines - feel free. Its good to know what everyone else is using.

Cheers
A destined for the play-offs Neil

It does look like that Bob - I am going to start calling him Roman "Two Washers" Ray from now on!

Come on Bob - lets see your armoury! I am sure you have a back up or two to that new fangled Deus!

No, I only have the Deus with the standard coil and a large coil (13"x11").

When you have the ultimate machine, no other compares! Besides the Deus does it all, and with two coils
I have a back-up machine.

If the control box packs up I can use the headphones to control everything. If the headphones pack up
I just plug my Koss Porta pro (I carry them in a small pouch) headphones into the control box and carry
on.

If a coil packs up, I just use the other one.

If a battery goes flat (highly unlikely) I have an AA recharge pack so I can recharge in the field. 15 mins
charge on coil, control box or headphones will give 2+ hours further detecting.

Just no need for a back-up machine  Wink   Grin

Perhaps "Two Washers" has a problem and we should not be taking the "urine" out of him.  Wink

It must be for his missus to wash all his nappies and bed sheets?  Grin
