managed a couple of hours this afternoon in the vale and this turned up not 100% sure what it is but apart from 30+ roman grots and 1 fibula this is the only artefact to come off this field in around 6 visits , any ideas , oh its just over 1" in length and looks like pewter

Very nice Mike, probably wrong but the hook shape things on the back looks like some kind of mount. 30 grots, well done, never found one Smiley

Glad you got out - I wasn't too well on Sunday - probably exerted myself to much on Friday / my missus was trying to poison me again Smiley (not deliberately, just the amount of out of date food she uses).
