WOOT, the time is here and I'm off work for 2 weeks and for 1 of those I am going to Kidwelly and taking the detector with me as I have permission to detect some fields and I'm going to do the beach while there. Will try to keep you all posted on finds if I get a connection, if I cant then you will hopefully have a lot to look at.

well I had rain for a few days and ended up coming home early but I managed 2 hours on the beach where I got about 3 quid in spendables a copper nail and plenty of junk.  only manager about 4 hrs in total on 1 of about 10 fields and came up with some cans the little tubes of stuff they put on cows teats some random bits and 3 decent things.

1. thimble
2. silver pendant
3. buckle type thing (any help on an id appreciated)

yea I met a couple guys that detect the fields now and then and the one had 2 hammereds in the field I was in, shame I didnt get more time there.
