Hi all i have been to this field 3 times and i have got 100 + black soiled pound coins !! could you please tell me how do i clean them the bank wont take them so i need help i have tried brown sauce it dont work so what else can i try ??

Don't bother cleaning them.

Put them in self pay machine at automated check out at Asda, B & Q, etc

Severn bridge automated bin,

Asda Coinstar bin where you chuck them in a bin and in prints a receipt for you to collect cash minus 8%
fee.

I always have a few in my wallet and just try them at different machines where ever I go. Something usually takes them in the end.

Sounds like a nice field btw. Fair groud field?

I had £80.00 in £1 coins just put them in money bags and went to bank. Bank took them off me said they were still legal tender even though tannished

Well they must have changed there tune recently then cos i always used to do the same...but a well known high street bank B------S refused them on the grounds
that there were too many forgeries out there and they have been instructed to refuse tarnished coins like we find M/Ding? PaulB.

The best thing you can do with them is,keep them for parking machines,and the 7 bridge.

a few minnits in brick acid will clean the tarnish off they will just be not very shiney
