Don't bother cleaning them.

Put them in self pay machine at automated check out at Asda, B & Q, etc

Severn bridge automated bin,

Asda Coinstar bin where you chuck them in a bin and in prints a receipt for you to collect cash minus 8%
fee.

I always have a few in my wallet and just try them at different machines where ever I go. Something usually takes them in the end.

Sounds like a nice field btw. Fair groud field?

Well they must have changed there tune recently then cos i always used to do the same...but a well known high street bank B------S refused them on the grounds
that there were too many forgeries out there and they have been instructed to refuse tarnished coins like we find M/Ding? PaulB.

The coin bin on the Severn Bridge loves tarnished coins!  ;)

The best thing you can do with them is,keep them for parking machines, and the 7 bridge.

try kitchen cleaner such as cillit bang I am told that brings them up as new. I do not bother cleaning mine as they go into the vending machine at work
