It's a fossil, possibly a piece of ammonite.

They died out at the same time and for the same (supposed) reason as the dinosaurs so it's at least 66 million years old but they go way back to 350 million years ???

wow that's mind boggling I know it was an accidental eyes only find but it still gives me a buzz thinking how old it is I can't even imagine that many years I'm made up ha ha even if it doesn't give a signal ;D
