These settings will give you excellent depth for milled coins, badges, lockets, rings.

It will knock out the chewing gum wrappers and most other rubbish.

I modify the GMP program.

I've used it and it works really well easily picking up silver sixpences, badges and silver half crown.

I take it you mean a post 1900 to 1947 sixpence?

I'd say in any of the programs, with moderate settings, you'd get it at 6" in most soils.

Changing the frequency, GB set correctly, upping the power output (may not upping!) and sensitivity and you could well look at nearly double this.

It's amazed me how many vertical coins I have had with the Deus. I have had a halfpenny at 10" on end. It was
in the wall of the hole and so the depth was accurate!

As you will know, depth is NOT the all important thing. Finding coins at an angle in the soil, and near or touching iron, or in mineralised soil is more important. It's no good having a detector that will get a copper penny at over 12" if it misses a silver coin at 4" near iron because it's blanked out, for example.

This is what I like about the Deus. It's sharp in amongst a lot of targets and brilliant in iron infested areas.
