 The refronting of the building in the 1860's established the business of Greenish and Dawkins, a millinery and outfitting store, with accommodation on the upper floors for female staff. It was one of the earliest department stores in the UK at the time. For nearly a hundred years this remained as one of the most significant commercial buildings in Haverfordwest.
