I got a little practice in today before Saturdays rally (To get the rust off) lol, its been awhile...

Anyway I managed a silver button/cufflink similar to one I found on a rally before Christmas, a possible dagger pommel, I did see eyes on it, but being silly I stuck it under the tap and lost some nice markings, the 3rd item I haven't a clue, if anyone could help me that would be great, apart form that it was the usual buttons and lead........ the hammered went to my mate this trip Wink

Dale is the top item rounded and hollow on the end? It looks a little bit like the end of a ewer spout. The dogs head type ones etc.

Finally iv managed to get a id on a item I found in January, iv been scratching my head over this one, I was thinking pommel but it just didn't look right, surfing the net tonight I found a match its a Saxon stirrup terminal Smiley

Iv shown a pic of the one I found on UKDFD also the description, but my example haven't got the hooked nose, its more of a duck beak as Dylan said

Two terminals were fitted to a stirrup, one at the bottom of each arm. The recessed back of the terminal enclosed the arm and concealed the foot-bar attachment joint. The terminals were soldered to the stirrup, and traces of lead are sometimes present in the recess when they are found. The Scandinavian influence evident in the zoomorphic design of this terminal is usual, here showing a mythical creature with a hooked nose in the Ringerike style of the early-to-mid 11th century.

Object Type:  Stirrup terminal
Object Classification:  Ringerike style
Period:  Late Anglo-Saxon
Date Range:  c.1000 - c.1050
