Title: Bejewelled thingy - any ideas
Post by: Techony on August 02, 2010, 04:18:44 PM
This little beauty is 1 1/2 inches long, has three of it's four apparently 'paste' stones, is hollow, slotted on one side, and has a row of pin-holes set 5mm apart as if it were to be tacked to something.

Any ideas anyone?

Over at Rally UK, we're coming to the conclusion that it might be a Book Clasp. Ring any bells with anyone? Got any pics to share?

Ah yes I can see it would be the sort of clasp you would get on a young girls diary, Quite modern I would of thought.

Just been overturned in favour of being a Jewellery Clasp:

They were all so similar, but these photos match all the features. Looks like you were right about the modern though Chef, c19.

Thanks for looking.
