HI all, just thought i'de post my first real find here.
I have been detecting for about 3 months and have only managed to get out about 4 times.
So I was delighted to find this on a Swansea beach, It was burried about 9" below the surface on a rocky patch just above the low tide line.
I was amazed to find it, not only 9" down but i had to dig out 3 rocks the size of soap bars to find it, it was underneath them as well.
It looked like a 2p piece on edge sitting in the sand i had pulled out of the hole.
Cleaned it up a bit and found a watch face under the crud.
I think its a World War One Trench Watch made by Medana, Swiss made. Google is a marvellous Library.
I may be wrong about this and would appreciate all comments and advice.

Lovely find PJ, a friend of mine found a Medana watch while we were out a few tears back. It makes you wonder at all the things it may have been through. Keep it up
