found this while looking for paint to spray my car ;-)
called plastic dip and is a rubber coating spray paint .
this could easily be sprayed on the stem and other parts of your detector and then just peel it off when you want to with no damage whatsoever underneath!!! .

No but it sounds like a good idea. It's not cheap though at £17.00 for 400ml.  I think I like the sound of some inner tube better.
Besides which, Ive got one that I blew up earlier. Shocked Roll Eyes

Yes I saw your post. Much better idea. I used sandwich bags on my old Sherlock for ages. Tried one on Mr.Garrett last time out with a bit of selotape round it. Worked a treat but they dont last long.
