Weekend finds

Had a bit of pick and mix over the weekend, Celtic finger ring, Medieval lead seal, cut half penny and 2 Roman grots.

Think I would have had more, but I was on new farms and haven’t found the hot spots yet, and it was long stubble.

I did have a dealer pop round yesterday and went through my box of silver hammered, most was just run of the mill, but he put one to the side and it turned out to be a Henry IV halfpenny . Five minutes later I was £200 better off. I didn’t have a clue it was there, so he will probably make a bit on it as well.

Next weekend I’m taking my White’s TM808 hoard hunter out for the day, I got an interesting site that has turned up the odd axe head over the years, so you never know what lies 4 ft down. Grin
