A couple of years ago I visited the Roman garrison museum at Caerleon. There are so many little bits and bobs off of the roman military uniforms. If you found some of these bits you could be excused if they did end up in your scrap box. Some are ordinary looking bits of metal. For anyone who hasn't visited this museum I would thoroughly recommend it. An interesting site. Thanks for sharing.

The museum may be small but the presentation of the exhibits is first class. The displays are as good as anything you see in the bigger museums. If you like roman give it a visit you won't be disappointed.
