Title: Yesterdays double hammie

Hi all, had a couple of hours out yesterday and managed 2 hammered coins a lizzy and a much more interesting one with two pellets beside neck, yet to be id as iv just cleaned them ;)

Also I found a chest of drawer handle ::) they must of had small hands back then ;D what I would love Chef Geoff to put a date on if possible ;) Cheers

The wife is ill in bed, so im off work for a little bit, but the weather we had yesterday was to good to miss, so out I went........I was trying to find more hammies than last year, iv done that now so relax for me now till next September ::) Thats all down to the headphones for sure!

Great finds Dale by the way!

Today Geoff pointed me in the right direction for a new camera, it arrives tomorrow, I may need to use the extra zoom it has.......... for the front anyway :D

I did a little research on the penny, and im sure its a Edward IV penny, pellets by neck, from the Dublin mint.

I know you won't believe this but I thought Eddy4 just by the style of the portrait :-\
OK that brooch grrrrrrrrr......To be totally honest I'm not happy putting it into any "type" category, it has a few oddities that make it a little weird but Hattatt 438B is where I would slot it on the fashion timeline and so around 130 AD ;)

I believe you Geoff, I thought the same.....lol...... The Doc will tell us we are wrong now :D  have a shot at the unit ;) I need a reference book really if im to start collecting the celtic ;)

Thanks for the id on the brooch its a early ish one then, its a shame the coins are so far gone it would of been nice to date them... im expecting the Romans to have been near this site earlier tho, as there is a iron age hill fort in the woods, nothing of that era is ever found tho on the farm land around.
