Hi All,

I thought to myself sod it im going out detecting raining or not, I got to the fields and they was swamped.. BUT the machine was working very well in the conditions, my 3rd hole was a very bent Mary groat, followed by a cut quarter, then a cut half in no time at all, I was a little shocked how quick they popped out!!
25 holes 3 hammered.
This farm has been detected 20plus years as I keep saying but the finds are still there it amazes me.
I cant imagine what a 100 bloke rally would pull out!! As Neil says HAMMIEFEST Wink

Excellent Dale, well endured. Reminds me of a day I had back in the summer where the hammereds were popping-up constantly; pity days like that don't happen more often.   Undecided .....but well done.

I have noticed a little pattern with my finds from this area in the field, most are short cross penny's cuthalfs, quarters, and then a tudor will pop up? Elizabeth or Mary no Henrys or any other type......... but I have just found something in my finds what may explain why......... come on Geoff can you spot it? iv been to worried dealing with my hammereds and missed a artefact..... its all cleaned up now and id I may be wrong tho but it looks right Wink  A photo to follow
