found this strange thing on a known roman site , just over 4" long with a  blue patina .

a part similar to that of a carribina gate is missing i think but what is it Huh?

Well it's only carabiner shaped because it's broken across one side and unfortunately the piece that's missing at the back is the bit that fixed it to the wall/door.
No idea really but it's the best I can come up with at the moment lol

Try turning it 45 degrees to the left, then compare it to the attached.

It may have been built into a wall for endurance. Probably hamd made by the local Blacksmith. Maybe !!
