Sorry Dale should of put your name on shout as well Wink Here is the reply from the coin specialist, it took a while and has been seen by a few of them and finally got the ID. I will now have to get a value as the farmer will want to know Smiley I guess Spinks would be the first bet. Wink Wink





A Silver Denier of the Merovingian dated around 740’s. It’s from the mint of St Martin of Tours which is named on both sides (SCI MR and SCO MD) Martin has never seen another like it and says it is a very important find and possibly quite rare

one could say that the european common market has been alive and kicking for over 2000 years!

OK you might of been right about where the river was at the last two dayer but Tours on the austria/germany border Huh it's in the Loire valley.
