thank you Eric and Nomad for your contribution towards the ID.

Whatever the outcome, i'm sure its going to cause quite a bit of head scratching, once it goes into the FLO, next week.

will keep you informed of the outcome .... but in the meantime, all suggestions are valid.

I'm with Saxon on this one. To me it's a key.

The one piece is obviously a handle and the shaft is for placing on whatever for turning, like a water meter key.

To large and involved for a pipe tamper.
