Hi all,

I missed the rally today as 90% of my fields are rolled and seeded, with in  2 weeks I will be getting very low on land, as most is growing now, the farmer has took full advantage of the weather this year.......back to the pasture  Cry
Still I managed 2 hammereds and a lovely full noble coin weight, its a massive lump I was a little surprised when I dug it up, I thought it was a lead token at first, then I wiped of the mud to see the shield and ship Smiley its a first for me, and being the big boy makes it better.
Iv not run the weight under the tap just wiped the mud off with dry fingers and left the deeper mud in place, then used the nose grease trick, its simple rub your finger on your nose then on to the items high points, look at the as found picture then the picture on the scales, its brings the detail right out..... I have a tub of Renaissance wax polish but never use it on items like this as it will be to shiny to take a photo and you will regret it after.

A very nice coin weight Dale. Good to still be able to make out so much detail. Well done.

Cheers Alan, im very pleased with it being a first for me, and the condition...... it makes me wonder why people find so many off the noble weights and not the coins? surely there must be more coins that weights.
But thinking about it their is many reasons why.

What a muddy mess had 20 mins out with liner, before it got to much, I was walking in front of him with my machine off as promised Wink Wink but still ended up with more so I don't know what happened there Huh
plenty of signals just to much rain, I managed a early milled silver, and what looks to be a disc brooch? any help would be great Smiley

Before I even looked at the finders name I knew who it was by the baby/girly like fingers and the missing thumb muscles that has allowed dale to claim disability... Well done dale I'm still winning the hammered count though :-D
