Title: Storm Brian might be a blessing in disguise? Post by: Briser on October 21, 2017, 07:32:05 PM Am heading down to Anglesey on Saturday for a week and going by all the photos and videos I am seeing from Storm "Brian" (first time i've shared my name with one) it seems it has re-designed all the beaches down there which might have thrown up some stuff!

Five years ago I averaged a gold ring about every three visits, but these days I'm hard pushed to find a ring pull.

Post by: celticspikey on October 23, 2017, 08:39:06 PM I remember 20 plus years ago visiting Barry and Abaravon 2-3 times a week, a 1 1/2 hr and 2hr drive respectively, and guaranteeing Gold more often than not 22 ct especially at Barry...quite often more than 1 per visit, with pre decimal of course. The differance being then we had North- North Easterlys and cold very cold......we just don't get these cold winds like we use too. Still plenty to come of all beaches it just needs Mother Nature, and timing. ;) My Soverign with the WOT colil was pulling out chunky 22s at 18" plus, but you had to be quick digging when the sides caved in..lol.....Great Days. :'(
