Title: Advice on garret Post by: Youngsmiler on February 17, 2014, 11:37:56 AM Been looking at the 150 for a starter unit.
I'm hearing they are not much good for working on wet sand...why ?. Title: Re: Advice on garret Post by: leytijenks on February 18, 2014, 05:24:08 PM The Garett Ace 150 and 250 both get false signals on the wet sand. Some people have success with them if the sensitivity is turned down but you end up losing depth.
Check out YOUTUBE for videos on how to set the ACE for wet sand. Uncle John's ACE 250 Beach & Surf Setup Garrett Ace 250 Beach Hunt - Im No CrackBadger CRACKBADGER AND THE ACE 250 QUICK TIP The 150 and 250 are more or less the same. I have both. Good luck. I think i would rather lose some depth and have it set up right than not have the option to search on wet sand. Title: Re: Advice on garret Post by: HAMMERRHOID on February 18, 2014, 08:53:35 PM Get a Deus ;D
