Hi Doc, can you help me please? a few days ago my ex father in law
found these coins in the attic and he's not sure what they are and neither do i. dont know if they are gold, but the are very heavy they are from tonga
they are one of ten thousand sets and they are something to do with the oil company in tonga, any help would be appreciated thank you.

Here is some info off wiki Stu , can't always trust it but looks like they are made of Palladium, would have been expensive to buy, I'm sure Peter will supply you with some better info though.

Interesting coins sutt. According to my old (1974) K &M catalogue, these were gilded cupro-nickel, 10,000 sets issued as you say, cost $13.68 when new and were catalogued then at $15.00. I don't know their current value sorry.
