I was wondering does anybody have problems with the explorer 2 when it comes to close to other detectors it goes wild as normal but mine does not seem to settle down for a few minutes sqwarking and chirping wildly even tried noise cancel does not have any effect. i have hip mounted the explorer i think by lenthening the the coil cable has made it more sensetive.any ideas. :( ian. I think it may be down to increasing the coil cable length which makes it a bit more tempremental back to the drawing board i gues perhaps i have got to suffer these types of problems to win on the weight savings.

I've been told its because the minelabs are multifrequency machines, they "bounce off " each other. it's totally normal.

But then no one in my area can afford to buy a Minelab they all use cheep Bounty Hunters from WalMart! I guess I am lucky. Who knows, someday I may find something with my Safari besides nails and can tabs!. I am finding the Minelab to be a steep learning curve machine!
