Very nice Ian ;0)

I found something very simillar back in 1978 at the top of the Rhondda valley
in a  river below a well known Iron age settlement on the Rhigos mountain.

I always thought it was an arrow head till i let Mark Lodwick had a look resently
turns out its an Early Bronze age Plano convex Knife

Well done guys on a couple of beauties. Nice find Ian. What amazes me is how many Neolithic Flints from our area come up in such good condition after 4,000 plus years. A flint to be proud of Sir.

Thanks for comments guys, I did do a bit of a "field jig" when i found it,  After yesterdays heavy rain the conditions for field walking are perfect at the moment near me ,
Interesting to see that your flint Phil may have funeral / burial conections. If rough cut bits of quartz is also found on flint sites , this may indicate a burial may be present , as mounds may have been decorated with "shiney" . This would make them stand out of the landscape from a distance .
