Title: James 1st half groat bent and straightend found today Post by: hedgehog on May 22, 2009, 03:07:13 PM I really must stop detecting and do some gardening ;D
Only found one of these before and that was many moons ago, bent into an L shape, heated it up with a diy blowlamp to cherry red a few times until it was malleable; put it on a soft cloth covered it and pushed it reasonably straight with my fingers, heated one more time and then gave it a thump with a heavy object; didn't quite take the one dent out but happy with the result.
