Hi,

Just a heads up for those of you who know Alan Jenkins (AlthePastFinder).  He is losing his battle with cancer and has been given a maximum of 3 months left to live.  He is very tired, doesn't go online anymore and I know he would appreciate hearing from anyone who would like to send him a message.  Please pm me it to me and I'll pass it on.

Thanks,
Shianne

Hi Shianne

Thats awfully bad news - I really like Alan - He is one of our earliest members and I have always enjoyed having a chat with him on DW Rallies. I particularly remember Alan's numerous "Santa and Christmas Carols" related posts! He'll know what I means Smiley

Please send him my best regards and tell him to keep his chin up and keep fighting.

Kind Regards

That's sad news Shianne.

I only met Alan once or twice at rallies, but he's someone who has been a fantastic ambassador for the hobby.

For an example, see here, also featuring our own Roman Ray and Colin Hansen from FID:

Hi again,
I went to see Alan tonight, he's in hospital again, and he wanted to thank you all from the bottom of his heart for your kind messages.  He was a bit tearful but they meant the world to him.
Thanks for taking the time to write, or rather type (!) them.
