Hi all,

I'm a total newbie to detecting, and have got an X Terra 705, which I'm grappling with in the back garden to learn what it's all about.

I've just signed up for the March 22nd rally - can't wait to give it a go in earnest... Cheesy

I'm based in Bristol, but will hopefully be moving to Wales sometime this year...

Thanks all for the welcome messages...much appreciated.

I've signed up for the Rodney Stoke rally, and that will most likely be my first outing in a proper field...little bit scary coming along to first rally on my own...don't suppose anyone would let me tag along with them, give me a bit of a steer on what happens on rallies, generally keep me under their wing for a bit on the day, and just ensure that I don't look like a total Johnny No Mates (or Jilly No Mates to be more precise)...?

I'm more than happy to offer lifts for anyone coming from Bristol, in return...

Don't worry about being nervous on the day, Once you buy everyone breakfast you'll have all the friends you need  Grin
Seriously though I remember my first rally, I turned up on my own and within the first 5 minutes people were coming up to say hello.
By the end of the day it was like having another family . You'll be fine
