Thanks for comments Kev and Al,the ring is french(beurau de chambre de commerce de France, unfortunately doesnt pass the acid test for gold. The silver is a William3rd 6d love token, the other item is a lead stylus, not sure of its age but probably 15th/16th.Century.
Al :) :)

Lovely Al well done , I've had a few of those stylus things, some really small ones with a flattened end and really sharp point as well, maybe a crude needle?

NIce Finds Al,  i was trying to work out if the rind was Gold or a polished up Georgian brass one by the tarnish on it,  gold i expect though.
yeah the other one is a lead stylus,  and then a William the third love token
 Well done,
Alan

Nice finds there Al , do wonder how the stylli got out in the fields, I suppose they would have been tallying in the fields and any schoolkids would have "lost" their pencil on the way to school.
