Title: finally sorted out the headphone socket on my safari
Post by: chantalpoole on June 14, 2014, 02:48:07 PM
Been driving me nuts steadily getting worse till i was at the point where you start pulling your headphone plug in and out until it starts working due to bad connection.
So i undid the 3 screws in the arm of the safari and prised it open enough to take the headphone socket out .gently used a modelling file to remove any corrosion on the connection pins and then i gently prised them out so they would connect better with the headphone plug.
Took about 10 mins and now my safari is singing away sweet as a nut into my headphones.
I love it when a job turns out to be really simple !!

Good job,
It's great when you can fix it yourself far more satisfying then paying someone else to fix it.
