Proud moment for me and Dan who found a lovely sword pommel of 10th century,5yrs ago and Jorvick have now borrowed it from the Manx Museum to display in their Heros exhibition on 20th of july..Sorry i have tried to up lift a pic of pommel..no luck ...But it was the find of a life time and will be been seen by thousands of tourists from all over the world......It has been on a tour of Northwest and was on display at Chester.. Smiley

And that's probably more of a thrill than anything else.

I remember going to Jorvik quite a few times when I was younger (as my sister went to york Uni) - my mother caused a bomb scare there by leaving a bag full of knitting behind in the shop.....

The real thrill was finding the pommel and i have found many fine objects..But this sword pommel was smy top find IN 37yrs of metaling detecting...Your time will come Val Smiley
