Title: Hammered coin fragment for ID Please
Post by: hotmill on May 10, 2013, 05:59:50 AM
Hello folks,

Found this fragment of hammered coin last night. Sorry about the photos but I'm having real difficulty getting a good close up.

If it assists, the lettering visible on one side is  what looks like -SID GR (or GH or GN) The lettering on the other side is - LAE (or IAE) ET (or EI)

Does not seem to have any cross on it, and the lettering looks later than the type you would get on Eddy pennies.

Sorry I cant give you any more, hopefully you experts will be able to crack it

Thanks
