I use Irfanviewwhich is also free and simple to use. There are also plenty of online photo editing sites, where you don't need to download any program. Just Google "online photo editor".

Mike , use Paint in your windows programme its easy.

1 Right click on pic you want to resize
2 Click on 'open with'
3 open with Paint
4 click on image up the top options
5 click resize
5 choose the % you want to shrink it by
6 save as wgatever you wish to call it
7 done

Hi Mike what leighton says is good (irfanview) to resize just click resize and thats it really just one window which asks you how much you want to resize it by (just click half its easier).

I have windows and when i click on the photo a windows photo gallery comes up along the top it says file  fix   info   print e-mail   burn    make a movie    open what i do is just click on FIX then crop picture  i just drag the lines where i want them usually there is a lot in the photo that is not needed such as background etc click apply close the window than just add that photo to what you want it to be applied to when you want to put it back to normal size on your computer just do exactly the same but when you click crop picture at the bottom it says revert and it will put it back the same as it was at the beginning hope this helps

There loads of ways to skin a rabbit as they say.

Try a few ways to resizing and pick what suits you best
Ive used Robs way for years now and it can be done in seconds when your used to it

all the best
