If you are using a pro coil, don't believe a word of it. Des says in there that you can run fast and deep at the same time, but on recent videos he says don't. That I believe is a very old PDF file.

         No such thing as fast on a Minelab I always run it on Deep . Finds up here in North Wales are not as abundant as those in the south . If I get a hit I want to make sure it's mine , even if it takes all day to do a small area .

I always run my Explorer II with DEEP ON like Alan,I set the sensitivity as high as I can go depending on where I am detecting but not as high as some suggest you should  on other detecting forums.I could not see any benefit what so ever running the machine full power, just made the good signals sound confusing with the bad.

I have not used the Explorer for a while, had a wrist injury at work, found the DFX much lighter to use for the time being but might use the EXII this weekend.
