Hello mate. I went and stayed for the weekend although the signals were very few and far between. Had a battered Edward the third halfpenny,a coin weight for a gold angel,a little military cap/lapel badge and a tudor toggle button thing. Not a great deal for the hours put in searching but still enjoyed the break and the company of the people I met-oh and my dog Norman found a tenner under a pub table! Did see some nice finds though but I wasn't so lucky.
Ben.

I went on my own also, and all in all had a good time. Met a few old mates not seen for a while.
A lot of people were moaning about no finds, which i found very strange. Everytime i went out i found an odd array of lead, viccy pennies and buckles and buttons. Then finally on Sunday late afternoon found my very first cut half ( John short cross ).

On one of the Saturday fields,  people were finding hammereds all round me, yet i couldn't find one  :-[ i checked that se was switched on a couple of times !

The whole rally was well organised and marshalled, finds on any rally are not guaranteed, i did notice that the new Deus seemed to excel on the fresh ploughed soil. ???
