A quick question about putting pictures in posts...

Do I need to upload them to a site like Photobucket and then post the direct link - or is there a way to upload them directly from the desktop?

I notice that when I preview a post with attachments that it doesn't show the pictures - does this mean I need to post before being able to see the result?

Hiya Alan , welcome to the site, post 'em up from your files , as far as I am aware you can't preview them until you have posted, but once posted you can see them and make changes if you need to
