Well, since joining I've mainly been working. I managed a few hours this evening along with my friend with the vintage army mine detector. Here are the finds. (http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d113/BigOrangeMonkey/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG1567_1_zpslooed1v_edit_1405893349081_zpsovcwjzxn.jpg) A 2002 20p, 2005 £1, a gate bolt, what looks to be a hook off a rake, a large horse shoe and a small pony shoe. Nothing very exciting, but to be honest we were quite excited to get the pony shoe. My mate and I love the local history and we have extrapolated that this shoe would most likely be off a pit pony. Good fun but now we need to get ourselves a decent discriminator. Cheers all. Might have been a pony for a trap rather than a Pit pony. Never mind how old the finds are its plain to see your enjoying being out there searching and rescuing otherwise lost treasure.
