My early machine was by Gardiner Electronics in Phoenix though I can't remember the model. It was the bees knees in 1967 !

Worked well for the period and soon paid for itself.

Was your Treasure Ace the one with the "treasure eye" Phil ? Square box and they had a 100, 200 and 300 versions. I didn't rate it at all but KellyCo continued selling it after Garretts had moved on as the Predator so it must have had fans.

Dixons had C-Scope making C-Scopes for them under the Prinztronic ? label at one time. It was cheaper to buy exactly the same detector from Dixons than by going to a C-Scope dealer. Similar thing with Joan Allen. Fieldmasters could be bought cheaper labelled as "Joan Allen" as could the lower range C-Scopes.

i had a c-scope in late 70's early 80's. cant remember the exact model (T 80 i think rings a bell) shepards hook handle. i remember it being heavy and uncomfortable to use, i was about 12 mind. anyway i only remember finding ringpulls...wish i had found a hammered or roman coin that way id have been detecting ever since instead of a 20 year lay-off.
