E Trac. Boys and their toys. I always fall for the advertising hype.

One I could fit on the front of the Quad with a coil about four foot wide. Can drive up and down the fields all day. Have a little robot digger to select the finds after I drop a remote sensor where I get a signal. In the real world an E Trac.

Gotta say though if I was loaded and could have them I would have a T2 and a F 75 as well because most people who use them will swear by them, so they must do the business.

Very similar RB but the F75 users say it is a little deeper and more sensitive than the T2, when I was trying to decide which one I had the impression the F75 was more for the American market, but the users over here say they are fantastic machines

If its not broke don't fix it !!! .i am using the explorer 2 @ the moment and finding plenty so i think i will stick with it for a while until i can justify in my mind the cost of a new machine. I will then buy a e trac or a xp goldmax power or even both.
if you dont walk over it you can't find it so if you are not finding anything are you on the right site or is it you'r machine i think these are the questions you have got to ask yourself first.

Happy with my T2...if mine broke i'd get another one, although i'd love to try out a GMP with the 11" coil.

GET A SAFARI! The Safari sounds off loud and clear on hammered coins I know I tried it. and its less money then the Explorer.

Ian - you sound like a handy kind of guy - how about a whole different concept to a metal detector as we have now?  Along the lines of an x-ray that doesn't need a base plate to stop the ray - I want to see an image of the thing before I dig it up - both on the land and on the beach ;D ;D  Knock up a prototype and I will give it a thorough testing  ;D ;D  It could even be attached to waltonbasinman's quad  ??? We are only hampered by our lack of belief that it can be done - and money !!!

I would like to buy several but all old classics such as BFO'S  and IB'S got a few already but always on the lookout for more.
