Title: grading of coins Post by: ajg3151 on August 27, 2010, 02:28:48 AM im trying to get my head round this grading of coins game, it seems so vague, some coins to me look poor but are graded fine to very fine, anybody got a simple way to grade.
Title: Re: grading of coins Post by: Techony on August 27, 2010, 05:06:09 AM If you can get your hands on a copy of Spink, their is a section at the start of each era which shows the differences between various grades and describes why. You'll also notice that worn hammered's are often a higher equivalent grade than milled due to the relatively poor quality of the original coin.
Hope That Helps a little, there is simply no easy way out. Title: Re: grading of coins Post by: Al.Thepastfinder, ( Alan ) on August 27, 2010, 07:09:10 AM These may help you for now,
